Home of Mrs. C.J. Brumagin on the edge of the Buckeye community when they first bought the house. The Brumagin's started their home from a building originally intended for a store  and a gas station. Mr. T.D. Gray assisted Mrs. Brumagin with her landscaping problems during April, 1946. Much of her work had already been completed but Mr. Gray's suggestions when carried out helped to make the farm home even more attractive.  (See photograph number 001575 for a later view.)

Mrs. J. B. Showalter home with a woman sitting on the porch after the outside improvement project in Slaty Fork, Pocohontas County. Improvements made:  built new windo casings, put asbestos shingles on house, built a front porch.  Cost Record: Asbestos Shingles-$80.48, Lumber and Nails-$80.48, Paint-$10.00, and Labor Costs-$50.00.  Together these all cost Mrs. Showalter 222.28.
