The church was organized in 1824.  The first building was destroyed by fire in 1826-1827. The present church was dedicated in 1828.

The old church was built in 1808 in Cassville which was then called Clarksville, and the present church was built in 1889-1890.

The church was organized in an old log school house in 1818.  The present building was built in 1858.

Brookhaven church (formerly called the Rock Forge Methodist Church) was organized in 1871.  The name changed from Rock forge to Brookhaven in 1961.

5. Brookhaven Methodist Church, Morgan District, Monongalia County, W. Va.

The church was organized as a non-denominational church in 1858 and it was located on what is now known as the Mile Ground.  Any preacher could use the church, but the regular ministers were from the Methodist Episcopal Church.  The church was also used as a school until 1868.

The church is located on the Morgantown-Fairchance Pike.  It was organized in 1852-1853.

7. Calvary Methodist Church, Union District, Monongalia County, W. Va.

The services in 1840 were held in a log church.  This church was built in 1845. The church was later enlarged and additions were added.

8. Eden Methodist Church, Stewartstown, Union District, Monongalia County, W. Va.

Mt. Union Methodist is located on Pt. Marion Road in Morgantown.  It began in 1881 and moved to a new location in 1909.  In 1950 the church was damaged by fire and repairs were finished in 1952.

9. Mount Union Methodist Church, Morgantown, Union District, Monongaila County, W. Va.

The church was founded in 1830 and the building was built in 1839.

10. Zion Methodist Church, Union District, Monongalia County, W. Va.

The church was was built in 1844, and before the church was built services were held at a school house.

11. Fairview Methodist Church, Clinton District, Monongalia County, W. Va.

The church was first built as a log church in 1954.  The present frame building was built in 1873. The church has been damaged by several storms and remodeled in 1962.
