Reed, chairman of the ASJSA Committee on Awards and director of the School of journalism of West Virginia University; Alfred A. Crowell, chairman of the department of Journalism, University of Maryland, and president of the American Society of Journalism School Administrators. Mr. Kennedy is receiving the 1957 ASJSA Award because Ford Times was voted superior in design, subject matter, and social aim a a modern business and industrial magazine. The presentation took place August 27, 1957 at Boston University.'

'Bernard Kilgore, president and editor of The Wall Street Journal; Director P. I. Reed of The West Virginia University School of Journalism; Warren K. Agee, chairman of the Department of Journalism, Texas Christian University, Fort Worth. Prof. Agee as president of the American Society of Journalism School Administrators presents to Mr. Kilgore for The Wall Street Journal the eleventh annual citation of ASJSA which recognized the newspaper for its superiority in general reporting and interpretation and especially in service to specialized clientele. Director Reed, who looks on, was chairman of the Committee on Awards. The presentation took place August 29, 1956, in Sargent Hall of Northwestern University , Evanston, Illinois, as part of the program of the Association for Education in Journalism.'

'P.I. Reed , Chairman of the ASJSA Committee on Awards; Quintus C. Wilson, president of ASJSA and chairman of the department of journalism, University of Utah, Salt Lake City; Kenneth MacDonald, editor of the Des Moines Register and Tribune and, in 1955, president of the American Society of Newspaper Editors. Mr. MacDonald is receiving the 1955 ASJSA Scroll for his newspapers because they were voted as especially distinguished in leading and shaping the economic, social, and cultural life of the area in which they circulate. The presentation took place August 23, 1955, at the University of Colorado, Boulder.'
