This photograph shows the old Market Auditorium which is now a pedestrian plaza. The building with the Raus Drugs sign is still standing. It's address is 1107 Market Street - the Alfred Egeter Building (ca. 1895) a Neo-Classical Revival/Romanesque stone commercial structure (Franzheim, Giesey & Faris, Architechts).

Camden Park was first established in 1902 as a picnic spot by the Camden Interstate Railway Company, named after former West Virginia Senator Johnson N. Camden. In 1903 a carousel was added to the park. Overtime more amusement park rides were added to the park. It is West Virginia's only amusement park. Published for H.G. Hoffman.
