Berkeley Springs was Established as a town in 1776. Virginia treated her sick soldiers here. Dr. C.W. Chancellor called it a 'health-giving luxury fit for the Gods.' Generals Washington, Buchanan, Gates and many others bought lots here. Berkeley Springs is an historical place.'
