Leroy Myers Receives Grant for Study, West Virginia University

Leroy Myers, right, graduate student at Michigan State University, has received a $3,000 annual fellowship for study in the field of city planning and urban renewal, according to Harold W. Lautner, left, head of the M.S.U. department of landscape architecture and urban planning. On behalf of the donor, the Sears-Roebuck Foundation, J.J. Roden, manager of the Sears store in Lansing, Mich., presents the fellowship certificate to Myers. An assistant professor of geography at West Virginia University, Myers will do advanced study at M.S.U. for the coming two years. Four other individuals studying city planning and urban renewal at other universities received similar awards.
