This institution is located two miles east of Terra Alta, Preston county, on the main line of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. The local station is called Hopemont, but only local trains stop here. All passenger trains stop at Terra Alta, which is the express and post office. Number of patients in July 1, 1920 was 155.
'The State Colored Tuberculosis Sanitarium is located at Denmar, Pocahontas county and is reached by the Greenbrier branch of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad.  Connections are made from the main line at Ronceverte, coming east, and Durbin, going west.  All trains stop at Denmar, which is the post office.  The telegraph office is Beard.
